Rene Diaz Helkin and audiovisual photojournalist based in Bogota, Colombia. His greatest passion is the area of documentary. He studied film and photography in Colombia (2001), and photojournalism and cinematography for cinema in Buenos Aires, Argentina (2008). His works are focused on the habits of people. He currently works as a freelance photojournalist and documentary filmmaker.

In 2008 he was a cameraman for the documentary "The crown" was nominated for Oscars and won honorable mention at the 2008 Sundance festival.

His work "The Last Player" on gamblers at racetracks in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was nominated for Photograph of FNPI (Fundación Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano) in July 2010. This story was published in the Mexican magazine "Leopard" in 2008. Also in the newspaper "Clarin" in Argentina in 2008. It was exhibited in Colombia during the festival of photography, "Photography 2009".

In 2009 Díaz Puntoaparte published in conjunction with publishers and the World Bank, the book "Voices, stories of violence and hope in Colombia." This book was published and exhibited in the main building of the World Bank in Washington DC in September 2009 and in Paris in 2010.

Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif "> In 2010 became director of photography and camera of the documentary" Jala, a journey through the senses of Water "in India. Filmed in Red and now in post production.

René Díaz Helkin is photojournalist and cinematographer based in Bogotá, Colombia. His main passion is the area of documentary. I Studied film and photography in Colombia (2001), and Photojournalism and cinematography in Buenos Aires, Argentina (2008). His works Are people focussed in habits. Actually I works as a freelance photographer and cinematographer.

In 2008 I WAS camera man in the documentary film "The Crown" Nominated to the Academy Awards and Honorable Mention in Sundance Film Festival 2008.

His work "The Last Gamblers" about gamblers in the racetracks in Buenos Aires, Argentina, WAS Nominated to the FNPI (Fundación Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano) prize in photography on july 2010. This WAS reportage published in the Mexican magazine "Jack Brown" in 2008. Also in the Argentinian magazine "Viva" in 2008, and WAS exhibit in Colombia in 2009 in to the photographic festival "Photo 2009."

In 2009 Díaz published with Item Editors and Apart the World Bank, the book "Voices, Stories of Violence and hope in Colombia." This book WAS Launch and exhibit in Washington DC in the World Bank headquarters on september 2009 and in Paris on 2010.

In 2010 I Was the cinematographer and camera man in the documentary feature film "Pull-A Journey Through the senses of water," in India, shot on the Red system and now in post-production.
